We Believe Everyone Deserves a Place to Call Home

About 1.4 million people are considered at risk of homelessness due to poverty, lack of support networks, and overcrowded or substandard housing. We, at Build Homes Foundation, seek to solve the problems of home insecurity and provide affordable and safe housing for communities that have been disenfranchised.

Our Mission

We exist to help build safe and affordable housing, to revitalize underserved communities, eliminate home insecurity, and promote homeownership.

How ‘BUILD Homes Foundation’ Provides Affordable Housing for Low-Income Families

Imagine a world where everyone, regardless of their income bracket or social standing, has a safe, warm place they can call home. Doesn’t that sound like an idyllic vision? That’s exactly the picture “Build Homes Foundation” is laboring to create – an ambitious endeavor indeed.

Build Homes Foundation is a Christian and faith-based non-profit foundation that is dedicated to constructing and refurbishing houses to ensure they are safe and comfortable for low-income families and less fortunate communities. Our aim is not to stop at providing mere shelter, but to offer a stable living environment that brings hope and dignity to individuals and families that are often neglected by society.

“We believe that people should have a place to call home. A home is more than just four walls and a roof. It’s a place of safety, comfort, and belonging.

Founder, Tricia Tee Alampi, Ph.D.

Our mission extends beyond building and rehabbing houses. We also provide assistance to those who are unhoused, helping them navigate the complex processes required to secure housing. Additionally, we reach out to people who are at risk of losing their homes, providing support and guidance to prevent such occurrences.

Behind this earnest mission is our founder, Tricia Tee Alampi, Ph.D., who prefers to be called Tee. Tee, an accomplished interior designer, was moved by the profound need for secure, affordable housing experienced by many in our communities. She envisioned making a difference in the world, not just through her designer’s eye for aesthetics, but more so through her passion for helping others. It was this vision that led to the establishment of the Build Homes Foundation.

So come, join us on this journey of making the world a better place, one home at a time. Your involvement could bring us one step closer to realizing this dream – a world where everyone rightfully has a place to call home.

Community Initiatives with Christ-Like Compassion

The acronym BUILD stands for, Blessings, Unity, Increase, Legacy, and Destiny. Our prayer is that these words manifest in the lives of those we have the privilege to serve.

We don’t just build houses, we foster communities that feel renewed and vibrant by creating homes. We aim to reflect the love of Jesus Christ in what we do.

Our Core Values

BUILD Strong Communities

We aim to build sustainable communities for families to not only survive but prosper and live their God-given purpose.

“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

Romans 12: 4-5

BUILD Safe Homes

We aim to help renovate and create safe homes by eliminating hazards and removing harmful toxins such as mold, lead, and asbestos.

And it will be said: “Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people.

Isaiah 57:14

BUILD Housing for Those in Need

We aim to design and build urban housing developments for those who are homeless or at-risk.

“He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; he seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. ‘For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; on them he has set the world.”

1 Samuel 2:8

BUILD New Pathways to Homeownership

In order to promote homeownership among first generation buyers and historically disenfranchised populations, we aim to create affordable housing.

“For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. ”

Jeremiah 29:11
