It is our belief that everyone deserves a home. Therefore, as a non-profit foundation, we see to partner with non-profit organizations, corporations, government agencies, churches and community activists to fulfill our mission and express our values.
The ReNEW Homes grant program is only available at Build Homes Foundation and it was developed to help to revitalize neighborhoods and create better housing opportunities. We provide funding to organizations serving our communities. Funds will go to the gut rehab of abandoned and, and neglected properties in order to renew these communities. Grants applications are accepted on a rolling basis and awarded up to three times a year while funds area available. To apply your property or site, and project must meet the criteria outlined in our application.

Our Healthy Homes Mobile Food Pantry will provide healthy food for families in need – prioritizing food deserts and low-income communities. We believe that food insecurity directly impacts home stability, therefore we want to provide a solution. Our food pantry will include healthy food options and is set to launch in the Spring/Summer of 2024. We will include a calendar and locations throughout Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Through out First Home Program, first-generation future homeowners can now receive grant assistance up to $5,000. Funds are disbursed twice a year, or until funds run out. Our grant program covers down payment or closing costs. The following criteria must be met in order to qualify for our grant program:
